Imungu Kalevera
Imungu Kalevera (she/her) is a Pan-African feminist, gender and inclusion professional, consultant, writer, speaker and activist. For several years now, she has engaged in this work at a national, regional and international level. Her areas of interest and expertise have grown around policy advocacy, gender justice and recently feminist tech.
Currently based in Nairobi, Kenya, Kalevera is passionate about driving conversations and creating structures that make sure those unheard are seen and heard. She has been featured on panel discussions and several podcasts. For this reason, she is a proud member of Heels and Green and is always keen to connect with like-minded womxn on how to navigate the professional jungle.
Kalevera is recipient of the 2021 GRO GEST fellowship and holds a Post graduate qualification from the University of Iceland in gender equality studies as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry for Kenyatta University. In addition to this she has several blogs, panel appearances and articles under her name.
In her free time she is an Aikido practitioner, avid weightlifting enthusiast, flautist, yogi and currently co-authoring a book on work and womxn from an African perspective.
